His role as “Granda Alan” brought him great joy, and he adored his grandchildren Harry, Sophie, Emily, and Kenzie, treasuring every moment spent with them.
Alan was predeceased by his parents, Noel and Lila, whose values and guidance shaped the man he became. He is also lovingly remembered by his siblings David, Irene, Noel, and Caroline, as well as his extended family, including nieces, nephews, in-laws, and many close friends who will deeply feel his absence.
Those who knew Alan will remember his warm nature, his quiet strength, and his ability to bring comfort and reassurance to others. He was a man who valued family above all else and who lived his life with kindness, dignity, and a deep sense of loyalty.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Mallon’s Funeral Home, Mill Road, Bessbrook (BT35 7DT), where Alan will repose on Tuesday and Wednesday from 12:00pm to 2:00pm and again from 5:00pm to 8:00pm.
