Hayes Johnson Accident Update – Springfield Community Rallies in Support

The community of Springfield is coming together in prayer and support for young Hayes Johnson and his family following a recent accident. While Hayes continues to receive care, loved ones, friends, and community members are uniting to surround the Johnson family with strength, encouragement, and hope during this difficult time.

Hayes is deeply loved by his family and all who know him, and the outpouring of support reflects just how much this family means to the Springfield community. From friends to neighbors and local organizations, many are stepping forward to offer help in meaningful ways.

Ways to Support the Johnson Family

1. Prayer Support
The Johnson family has expressed that their greatest need right now is prayer. They are asking for continued prayers for Hayes—for healing, strength, and comfort—as well as for wisdom and guidance for the medical team caring for him. Prayers are also being lifted for his family, asking for peace, resilience, and God’s presence to surround them each day.

A daily prayer sign-up has been organized through Westside Church for those who wish to commit to specific times of prayer, ensuring that Hayes and his family are continually lifted up.

2. DoorDash Gift Cards
In addition to prayer, community members looking for practical ways to help can provide DoorDash gift cards. These allow the family flexibility to order meals while balancing time between the hospital and home.

Gift cards can be dropped off at Westside Church:

  • Monday–Thursday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (Main Entrance Desk)
  • Sunday: 7:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. (Information Desk)

The Westside Care Team will ensure all donations are delivered directly to the Johnson family.

A Community United

Many in the community also recognize the Johnson family through their connections, including Aubrey’s time with Velvet & Rosemary Boutique and their business, Johnson & Sons Contracting Dumpster Rental. Over the years, they have built strong relationships and touched many lives—making this moment of need especially felt across the community.

As support continues to grow, one message remains clear: the Johnson family is not alone. The community stands with them in faith, compassion, and unwavering hope.

Please continue to keep Hayes Johnson and his family in your thoughts and prayers.
